Staying Safe Around Propane

Nov 30, 2020

Propane Safety is always on our minds at Full Circle Ag.

We want our customers to have a safe and enjoyable experience with their propane appliances, equipment, and furnaces. That is why we have an experienced, well-trained and certified staff ready to handle all your service needs.

We also want our customers to be informed about the properties and safety procedures associated with propane. Please take the time to discuss propane safety measures with your family, especially those family members that may be home alone without adult supervision.

Your nose can help you identify the distinctively unpleasant smell that can smell like rotten eggs, a skunk spray, or a dead animal. If you suspect a leak, follow these steps:

1. Stop what you are doing and leave your home.
2. Call either your propane supplier or 911.
3. If you are able, turn off your propane tank.

The most important step is getting out of the home when propane odor is detected. You should know how to turn off the service valve at the propane tank. This is a simple procedure that will assure that the flow of propane gas stops.

If you or any member of your family is unable to detect the odor of propane then it is very important that you notify us and we will discuss the use of an electronic propane gas detector. We have excellent options available for propane gas detectors so give us a call today to ensure the safety of your home.

If you ever have a question regarding propane safety, please call our office and speak with one of our propane specialists.

Please see our Out of Gas Policy for rules and regulation surrounding home heat.
