Meet the Team: Sara Frey

Meet: Sara Frey, Hecla Agronomy Bookkeeper

26 years ago, Full Circle Ag was fortunate enough to gain a hard-working, motivated team member. You guessed it: Sara Frey. She started at our Claremont elevator after getting married and moving to the area. The co-op was known as Farmers Union Co-Op Association of Marshall County at the time. Sara eventually added the Hecla agronomy plant to her duties, where she continues to work today. In addition to her grain and agronomy roles, Sara also spends the majority of her winter months in the main office in Britton. She has seen several mergers and changes within the co-op, as well as the agricultural industry as a whole.

“I know how important the bottom line is.” Motivation stems from her own personal experience owning/operating the family farm with her husband, Mike. Sara does what she can to get the best value for the farmer as she personally knows how important that is. Not only has Sara seen lots of changes within the agricultural cooperative sector, but she has from a personal standpoint as well. “I always try to get the best value for the farmer.” Her understanding of farming has allowed her to help our customers in a way that not just anyone can do.

Kelli Erickson, Britton, comments, “Any time I have a question, I know I can turn to Sara. She has helped me in more ways than she knows and is always more than willing to help when needed. Her ability to multi-task is second to none and her hard work and motivation definitely does not go unnoticed.”

Sara graduated from Northern State University with a B.S. in Business Management. However, if you ask her, she will tell you she is now a Jacks fan. Having two sons at South Dakota State University will be a new adjustment for Sara as she will soon learn the concept of “empty nesters.” Although it will be a new adjustment, we are sure you will still find them supporting the many Langford Area events throughout the coming years.

If you’re ever in the Hecla area, be sure to stop in and say hello to Sara and thank her for her hard work and longevity at Full Circle Ag.
