Meet the Team: Billy Kremer
Sep 21, 2020
Charles Darwin said it well, “It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”
Meet Billy Kremer: Grain Division Manager
Billy believes it is important to do difficult things in life and to be willing to challenge and change your ideas as the world changes around you. This is one of the aspects about Billy that we are able to take advantage of while having him on our team. While his goal is to empower Full Circle Ag’s growers by providing competitive bids and access to customizable marketing strategies, we can develop high level goals from this standpoint. Billy believes that the strength of a co-op is based on successful patrons and providing those patrons with sound risk management strategies and is key to mutual success.
Billy has been with Full Circle Ag since July of 2020. He previously spent nearly 13 years with INTL FCStone (now StoneX) where he started after graduating from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Applied Economics. His role was in grain risk management where he worked with customers ranging from individual farmers and small, single location private elevators to more expansive, multi-location co-ops. He learned the grain trade under Jim Baumgard, a 40+ year grain veteran who was a General Manager of an elevator at just 22 years old. Billy is a Series 3 licensed broker with 13 years of trading experience in futures, options, and over-the-counter markets. He has provided educational sessions on topics including futures and options markets, hedging, basis, spreads, over-the-counter trading, and utilizing all these tools in grain risk management.
We would also like to congratulate Billy on his new adventure: Becoming a father of two. Billy and his wife, Emily, recently introduced Ayla into their family. She is a lucky little girl to have big brother Owen to love her. In his free time, Billy enjoys golfing, cooking, and spending time with his family, including Dexter, his Golden Doodle. His favorite TV is golf, football, hockey, mixed martial arts, and competition cooking shows, especially Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay.
We are very fortunate to have Billy on our team here at Full Circle Ag. Having 13 years of grain marketing knowledge, he has a lot to share with our staff and our growers. “One of the unique traits that Billy brings to the table is his willingness to get his hands dirty to learn the business.” Jeff Thaler, Full Circle Ag CEO.
If you haven’t had a chance yet, be sure to give Billy a call or stop in the Forman elevator to learn more about grain risk management.
