You choose when to price your grain (within the timeline stated in your contract).

Grain is priced at the posted cash bid at the elevator on the day you set the price.

Priced Later Contracts

Key Rules & Restrictions

Bushels on a Priced Later Contract cannot:
- Be priced off or applied to another contract (e.g., Cash, Futures Fixed, Basis Fixed, Priced).
- Be rewritten into a new or existing contract.
- Be sold using a future point-in-time bid.
Bushels on a Priced Later Contract are delivered bushels and are always priced at the current day’s cash bid, using:
- The elevator’s current basis, and
- The current futures month.

Future delivery periods cannot be used to price already-delivered bushels.

Priced Later Service Fee

$0.06 per bushel per month (applies to all commodities).

Contract Requirements

Priced Later Contracts must be signed and returned within 30 days of delivery.
- Per the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, this ensures you maintain ownership of your bushels.

Additional Notes

Bushels on a Priced Later Contract are not eligible to be applied to a future delivery contract.
Contracts may be priced during normal marketing hours at the posted bid.

All DP programs are subject to change or discontinuation at any time.

Rolling Contracts

Futures Fixed and Basis Fixed contracts may only be rolled within the same marketing year, and are allowed to be rolled the one time.

A Roll Fee of $0.01 /bushel will be applied to any contract roll.
