Rasmussen Farms

Who: Rasmussen Farms
What: Corn, Soybeans, Wheat
Where: Havana, ND

Where They Started
Dave Rasmussen grew up on the 75-year old family farm, just outside of Havana. His grandpa bought the land in 1944 and it has been in the family ever since. Kim, Dave’s dad, took over in 1976. A few years after graduating college from UND, Dave and his wife, Jess, moved back to the farm in 2010, where they have been ever since.

Where Are They Now?
Although Kim retired in 2014, he still helps on the farm when needed. Tyler Gefroh has also been with the Rasmussens for three years. In addition to their farming operation, Dave and Jess are busy with their three children: Jackson, Anna, and William.

What’s the best part of raising your kids on the farm?
“One day, I was planting behind the house and the kids got off the bus and just came straight to the tractor. It’s a whole family lifestyle and I just can’t imagine it any other way. They know there are certain times of the year where dad’s busy, but they understand that and they love to be out there doing it with me. My boys have carpet farmed since they could crawl.”

Why Full Circle Ag?
“I like the fact that Full Circle participates in our community. They’re present & contribute to the area and are not just trying to make money off us. I’ve used WinField products and Croplan seed since I started farming and they have helped get me to where I am today. They’re just good quality products. It’s nice being able to be part owner of a co-op and being able to get back what you put in. It’s nice to be able to do the grain side & crop protection side all in the same place.

Thank you so much, Rasmussen Farms, for taking the time to meet with us and being our June Producer of the Month! We wish you a safe and prosperous growing season and look forward to continue working with you!
