Corn Tasseling and Fungicide Applications

Jul 21, 2021

Are they worth it?

As we start thinking about our corn fields that are starting to tassel, some things get overlooked. One thing is making the decision to spray a fungicide on your corn to help maximize its yield potential and protect it from yield-robbing factors.

From the time that your corn crop goes in the ground, there are lots of things that can limit yield. Some of these things are out of our control – mainly mother nature. But there are some things that we can control like diseases that the corn crop can get from whether it’s too cold, too hot, too wet, or too dry.

There are a variety of different Fungicide options out there. Depending on your certain situation, your Full Circle Ag Trusted Advisor will do his or her best to recommend the Fungicide that will suit your needs.

Croplan and Winfield United also do a very good job on RTF Scores in their seed guides to help you determine whether or not Fungicide is a good option for the hybrid you planted.

Are Fungicides worth it? I believe they are a key component of helping growers get the most out of their corn crop, in addition to giving you a great ROI.

As always, visit with one of Full Circle Ag’s Trusted Advisors to help you manage the decision of products to help protect your corn investment.

Thanks, and have a great growing season.
