Opportunities Ahead

May 12, 2020

At times in one’s life, it is hard to stay focused on the opportunities that exist.  The past few months have been full of negativity.  It is easy to get consumed by such things as Covid-19, low grain prices, and mother nature just not cooperating.  The thing we must keep in mind is that all things will cycle.  We are currently in a time where a pandemic seems to be influencing almost every sector of our nation.

So, you ask, “What are the opportunities that exist and lie ahead for us?”  I do feel optimistic about grain markets moving forward.  China seems to have the desire to live up to the trade agreement.  With the reduction in travel, the energy world has been in flux.   Fuel prices are lower than what we have seen in the past 20 plus years.   Most producers have taken advantage of this opportunity.  I do think we will start to see ethanol grow in demand as our economy comes back on, which should result in higher corn prices.  Interest rates remain low, land prices remain stable, and your utilization of technology is at an all-time high.  Another positive is that patrons in the eastern and southern portions of our territory have been able to get a high percentage of their crop in the ground.

We live in a world that seems to be becoming more demanding and runs at an extremely rapid pace.  Most of us have had the opportunity to spend more time with our families during the pandemic.  I cannot think of a more positive outcome than that.  With God’s grace, we will all survive the challenges we face today and be better for it.

We appreciate your role in being the caretaker of the world’s food production.  It is not something that we, at Full Circle Ag, take for granted.  We feel blessed with the opportunity to play a role in supporting you, our local farmer.  You are the most resilient and resourceful group of human beings in the world.  Like you, we too are local.  We appreciate the support you bring to all the businesses in your community.  You are what brings life to the main streets in towns across the Midwest.  We appreciate your business and look forward to servicing your needs now and in the future.
