Member Co-op Match Program

May 23, 2018

What’s better than a donation? A matching one. With assistance from the Land O’Lakes Foundation Member Co-op Match Program, we were able to donate to North Sargent’s newfound FFA program. FFA is an extracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. The letters “FFA” stand for Future Farmers of America. FFA programs are funded through sponsorship and individual donations at the local, state, and national levels. The National FFA Organization is committed to providing achievement in premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education for each individual student

Full Circle Ag fully supports the National FFA Organization’s ethics and standards. Assisting a school’s ability to initiate an FFA program is something we take pride in. Our youth is our future and we believe we need to encourage their excellence in character, teamwork, and agricultural education. With agriculture being the leading industry in both North and South Dakota, we need to educate students and give them the opportunity to learn as much as they possibly can about the industry. When we were approached about a donation to their program, the Member Co-op Match Program by Land O’Lakes came to mind.

The Member Co-op Match Program matches dollar-for-dollar the cash donation of member cooperatives, thus doubling the funds available for local projects. The program funds are awarded to a wide variety of eligible projects undertaken by non-profit organizations. Generally, grants are restricted to organizations that have been granted tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Upon completion of the application process, Land O’Lakes determines if the program is eligible for qualification.
With the help of the Member Co-op Match Program, we were able to donate $1,000 to the North Sargent’s FFA Program. We wish North Sargent the best in educating our students in agriculture and look forward to what’s in store for their program.
