Meet the Team: Jackie Hofer

Jul 15, 2021

“Now that I am a part of this lifestyle, I want to contribute and the best way I can do that is by lending a hand wherever needed.”

Meet: Jackie Hofer, Doland Agronomy Bookkeeper/Producer Financing

Jackie Hofer has been a part of the Doland community for over 6 years and she is fully committed to the small-town farm life. Growing up in the Twin Cities, Jackie had dreams of starting her own business as a fitness coach, specializing in young athletic development. As soon as Jackie met Mikel, plans quickly changed and new dreams were created. Fast forward 6 years and Jackie is a mom of two, soon to be three, boys and spends as much time as she can riding in tractors and going on airplane rides.

Jackie is our Doland Agronomy Bookkeeper as well as a Certified Lender. She helps with our multiple financing programs as well as SD tax reporting for the company. Having graduated from SDSU with a B.S. in Exercise Science, Jackie caught on to the agronomy industry very quickly and has learned a tremendous amount about agriculture as a whole in the last several years.

Kelli Erickson, Marketing Director/Producer Financing, comments, “Jackie is an asset to have on our financing team. She is very detail-oriented and has the ability to stay on top of tasks in a timely manner.” Having little agronomy experience prior to joining us at Full Circle Ag, Jackie is not afraid to jump in and complete a to-do list, while learning as much as she can about how to make things easier for the grower.

When asked what inspires Jackie, she commented, “My husband inspires me daily to live a Godly life. He constantly encourages me to use my Godly gifts for good and to remember that we are all deserving of love, patience, and kindness. My favorite quote is from Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse has stuck with me since high school and is something I try to live by. It helps me stay secure and grounded, especially with an ag pilot for a husband.”

Jackie is highly involved in the Doland community by being the Secretary of the Doland Daycare Committee as well as a member of the Doland Wellness Center board. Getting to know the growers and the community members of Doland has helped her realize what farm life and small-town living is all about. “Even though the community may be small, it’s more like a family than anything. Everyone rallies together to help their neighbors in times of need.”

In her free time, Jackie enjoys cooking, baking, reading, and going on adventures with her family. Chasing after her farm boys certainly keeps her on her toes.

If you are ever in the Doland area, be sure to stop by and say “Hi!” to Jackie.
