Meet the Team: Becky Roehr

Meet: Becky Roehr, Payroll/Energy Bookkeeper

If you have stopped in our main office in Britton within the last 27 years, chances are you know who Becky Roehr is. Becky handles our employee payroll and is our energy bookkeeper. She began working here as a summer job during college and has been here ever since. Her role has changed over the years, from helping with misc. duties in the office and entering sales tickets from different locations to moving down the hall and focusing on energy when Petroleum Partners was formed, and then back again currently doing the energy bookkeeping and employee payroll.

Originally from Britton, Becky has two children – Logan, 23, lives in Britton and is a 911 dispatcher for Roberts County and an EMT for Marshall County, and Jaidyn, 20, is a sophomore at SDSU studying Early Childhood Education. If you ask Jaidyn, she has always been able to rely on her mom for anything – “She has shown me how to juggle everything on my plate. As a single mom, she managed to raise two kids, support us in our activities, and put food on the table, all while having a full-time job.”

Becky is always doing her best to help others. Whether it be co-workers or customers, she is always there to lend a helping hand or find an answer to whatever question may be asked. When asked what motivates her day in and day out, Becky’s response: “I feel it is important to treat others as you’d like to be treated. I try to be as helpful as I can to customers that call or stop in with questions and orders.”

Working in the energy department, Brian Beck has worked with Becky for many years. Brian comments, “Have a question on your energy bill? How about questions with your AFD account or monitoring system? Pricing on refined fuels or LP? Give the main office a call and ask for Becky. These are just small portions of the responsibility that Becky takes care of. Add to that the actual billing of refined fuels and LP, payroll for the company, state tax reporting for SD and ND, product inventory, as well as keeping our two LP delivery drivers in line. In addition to that, being Brian’s right-hand person makes for a full day. Becky has been with FCA for 27 years, and if she does not know the answer, she will find someone who does. If you have met her personally, you know that she always has a smile, or if only by phone, the friendly voice on the other end is always willing to help. The next time you get the opportunity, tell her ‘Thanks!’
