FCA's New Grain App

Jul 23, 2019

Grain Industry Evolving

Many things are evolving, both locally and throughout the remainder of the world, when it comes to the grain industry. A few examples that continue to evolve are different types of technology, along with the different ways to communicate within the ag industry.

Both technology and communication are great ways to create efficiencies on the farm, but also present some challenges and change in the process.

Grain App

We are in the process of putting the finishing touches on our new grain app, powered by Bushel. This application will ease the ability to organize all grain contracts, scale tickets, commodity balances, and many more items in one place - available wherever you are. One savings to both the producer and the Cooperative will be the ability to E-sign contracts which will eliminate, if you so choose, the use of paper, envelopes, and stamps. This offering will also assist with time-savings on the farm to sign and read contracts as you please.

We will have local bids from each of our four elevators on this app as well as bids from the new soybean processing facility that is in Aberdeen, South Dakota, called AGP (Ag Processing Inc.).

AGP's Grand Opening

I recently had the privilege to tour the new AGP facility at the Grand Opening held on July 17th. What an impressive facility! AGP will be a great asset to both the producer as well as Full Circle Ag. I was able to listen to Keith Spackler, AGP Chief Executive Officer, the Honorable Governor of South Dakota, Kristi Noem, along with other executives from the AGP organization. There are many benefits this facility will provide to our area producers when it comes to soybean production.

Full Circle Ag will strive to find the most efficient avenues for a producer whether it be contracting grain and directly hauling into the AGP facility, or off the farm trucking services provided by Full Circle Ag. We will work hard to do our best in making the experience with the new soybean processing plant as simple and friendly as possible.

Please contact us at the Forman Elevator: (701) 724-6213 or (866) 239-6054 to talk about your options for contracting soybeans as well as any trucking needs.

We thank you for your business and look forward to working with you this fall and into the future.
