Due Diligence Pays Off

Apr 13, 2021

Peckham Farms is a family operation run by Darwin and his son Dennis, along with Dennis’s son, Mason. Maintaining healthy equipment is critical in any farm operation and the Peckhams take this very seriously. They have always done their due diligence when it comes to taking care of their farm equipment and this winter, it paid off.

While in for a regular maintenance check, it was found that the camshaft went out in their Case IH 550 Quadtrac. Their first phone call was to Myron at Full Circle Ag to see if the Cenex Total Protection Plan® would cover the cost of replacement. When Peckhams got the repair bill, the Cenex Total Protection Plan® delivered a check for $9,400.45 for covered repairs per the warranty agreement.

Taking their equipment in for regular maintenance during the off-season not only saved Peckham Farms the headache of downtime while in season, but it also saved any further damage from taking place. Better yet, the hassle-free claim process and help from Myron at Full Circle Ag meant they did not have to get tied up with a ton of time filling out paperwork. The repairs got done timely and they are heading into the spring season with peace of mind knowing the equipment is taken care of.

That is just one reason why Peckham Farms protects all their qualified equipment with the Cenex Total Protection Plan®, which extends manufacturers’ warranties by providing coverage for up to 10 years or 10,000 hours on new equipment, and up to 8 years or 8,000 hours on used equipment. As part of the protection plan, the Peckhams regularly use LubeScan® Used Oil Analysis kits to send in oil samples for analysis because it knows that, just as with regular equipment maintenance, it’s usually what you cannot see that causes the damage.
